Having done the same experiment with an orange I'm betting it won't be found for several weeks.

I've also hidden a banana inside a collegue's PC itself. Awesome.

Oh, and company-supplied Easter eggs, cake and muffins.

The banana is not likely to become all that stinky if you keep airing it out. If you let the bananary goodness build up for a while and then he opens the draw THEN it might stink.

I'm telling you though, he probably won't find it for weeks if he can't see it and no-one tells him it's there
